Header rant

What is CITREP?

CITREP is a training incentive programme to equip the Singapore Infocomm professionals with critical, emerging and specialised skills and gain recognition for their competency.

One problem though, the organization who support this failed in one subject; common sense!

Not to mention some ‘crap-to-the-core’ course provider.

Though it is partially our fault, to hurry the signing of the damn form, just to let them start to ‘teach’ us, we didn’t notice about what they put it as “All claims for the grant disbursement must be submitted to NICC within one (1) month from the date of completion of the approved training course(s) and/ examination(s). LATE SUBMISSIONS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.”

Think about it, you start a course, you have six months to complete the course, you have one month to submit your claim once you complete your course. Now you completed the damn course at 3rd month, and now at 6th month you are unable to submit the claim! so you actually got punished by finishing early (in a way)?!
It’s not like I did something illegal or anything! It’s not like my result changes over time! I’m still what I am now and two months before! with the same result! maybe it’s just some jackasses lazy to do their job, and lazy to sort those documents that are older than one month old.

I’d say that’s a pretty dumb rule, whoever made that rule. (yes you! stupid!)

But It’s Singapore! a rule is a rule, even though it’s an idiotic one! let’s see what’s good come out from it.

exactly. No doubt the system is a crap that tells you that : We will sponsor you for your course, don’t worry the government will take care of you. Then when you have finish your course then they will say: No you can’t claim the $$, No we didn’t cheat you, it’s all your fault, we just go by the rule.
